I love every staff member here. Best doctors, best people. Everyone is so welcoming and they actually care about their patients. They prioritize a patient's comfort over anything else and are so patient with answering questions. Dr. Briggs and Dr. Mulyadi are the best!!!

I had a mixed, overall positive but telling experience at this office. The actual dental care, from the x-rays to the gum measurements to the cleaning, was handled very well. My hygienist, Jaletha, was kind, gentle, and extremely pleasant throughout the cleaning. She had a beautiful smile and a calming energy — humming to music, complimenting my teeth, and making the process smooth and comfortable. That helped me feel grounded after earlier tension. I also want to highlight Dr.Mulyadi, who was wonderful — warm, professional, and informative. They had a beautiful smile as well, and their demeanor helped ease the atmosphere when discussing my gums. I appreciated how they answered questions clearly and without judgment. The issue began earlier, before I got to the chair. There was a miscommunication about my appointment time, and I arrived what I believed to be 15 minutes late. I acknowledged that. But the front desk placed me on hold abruptly and later told me the doctor was “still willing” to see me — a cold tone for something that could’ve been handled with more ease. Later, I asked Dr.Mulyadi about the cost of a procedure (a deep gingivitis scaling). They appropriately had the front desk staff come in, which made sense. What didn’t make sense was how it escalated. One person came in, then another, and soon I had two check-in staff repeating themselves and pushing as if I was reluctant, even though I’d already confirmed I was okay with the cost. I had simply asked if I had a co-pay due that day in addition — not to dispute pricing. The exchange felt smothering, like I had triggered a red flag just by asking a question. What added to the discomfort was overhearing a staff member say, “She’s very sweet,” in a surprised tone — like they were correcting an earlier assumption. While that may sound nice, it reflected a deeper issue: something had clearly been said or assumed about me earlier, and now they were adjusting their opinion based on how I “actually” behaved. That’s profiling, not professionalism. At checkout, the gentleman assisting me was discreet and respectful — I appreciated his professionalism. But again, one of the check-in staff reinserted themselves, leaning in to ask how everything went. At that point, it felt more performative than sincere. Even the checkout person seemed thrown off by it. I stayed polite, but I left the office emotionally drained. This visit left me conflicted. Everyone else I interacted with , Dr.Mulyadi, Jaletha, the checkout team — was lovely, seamless, and respectful. The care itself was beautiful. But the check-in staff created a tension that never needed to exist. I came in as a respectful, inquisitive patient and was treated with defensiveness and overexplanation. That said, I do plan to continue receiving care here because of the strong clinical team. I just hope the check-in team can reflect on how they respond to patients who advocate for themselves. Calm questions don’t equal confrontation.
