Let me start by saying if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I had to get a root canal as soon as possible and with the independent insurance I had it was hard to find a location near me. I fell upon Ponce Dental Group, and I was a little cautious due to the reviews on yelp, but I noticed that all the bad reviews were from years ago, so I decided to give them a try. When I arrived on the 29th of July, I was greeted by Ashley and Douglas at the front. Very nice people but I later found out they were magicians. I was called to the back for some Xrays and so forth. At the end of my Xray, they went over the price with me for a root canal which we all know can be quite a bill. Douglas was very understanding and brought up a payment plan that they could work with me on which is right up my lane because who wants to pay $3,000 upfront. I agreed, and appointment to get my temporary crown was set for the next day, with my root canal booked for the 15th of August. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30pm, but after a sleepless night of tooth pain I called the office as soon as they opened next day to see if I could get an earlier appointment. Douglas answered the phone and was able to schedule me for an 11:45am appointment, which was exactly what I needed. When I arrived, I was greeted by Ashely and Paul at the front. Once I checked in, Ashley took a look at my charges, and said "Let me play with the numbers real quick". Play with the numbers she did. Ashley was able to get my bill down by $1300! I'm not sure if you guys are aware of the economy at the moment, but that $1300 is needed! I still can't thank her enough. I was called to the back by Essence, one of the assistants. She was great. Very professional, explained everything to me and made sure I was ok in every stage of the process. After I got settled in I got to see Dr.Briggs. Dr.Briggs was amazing. Great energy, and made me very comfortable with explaining to me the steps we were taking. While I was working with Dr.Briggs, the office was behind the scenes working and actually found a way for my 8/15 root canal to happen today! This was so convenient because I work through the week and taking days off for dental appointments is kind of a lose lose situation with not making money and spending money at the same time. The process working with Dr.Briggs was painless, and he made sure I let him know when something was wrong. After seeing Dr.Briggs I went to Dr.Haber for the root canal. Diamond, the assistant helping Dr.Haber, was also very helpful and professional. She made things run very smooth. I don't know how much they get paid but I will vote yes for a raise for all the assistants. Dr.Haber did an amazing job, and again the process was painless. She explained to me the healing process and then I was off to Dr.Briggs for my permanent crown. I was then again with Dr.Briggs and Essence and the process for the final appointment was quick and easy. I left very satisfied and felt prioritzed. What an amazing first experience. I have found my office. Thank you again everyone involved, I am no longer in pain and I am smiling again.

Dr. Riggs is amazing! Love him and the team is so great and professional! I don’t ever want to go to another dentist!
